Delivery & storage nodes, pools, and regions
The handful of ideas you need: node types, pools, regions, and keeping your data private.
Two kinds of node
- Delivery nodes cache and serve your content close to your users for speed.
- Storage nodes hold the origin copy that delivery nodes pull from.
Pools and regions
A pool groups nodes of one type in one region and sets how far it may scale (a minimum and a maximum). Scaling acts on a pool, adding or removing one server at a time within those limits, with a cooldown so it doesn't thrash.
Your data stays yours
